Separate the visible fact from the inference
Hexbreak3r stores reel heights by bet level. Taller reels increase ways to win and can approach visible Luck Zone awards.
The height of each reel, its distance to the Luck Zone, the prize above it, and whether the center reel is also advanced.
One tall outer reel can look dramatic while still being far from a useful award. Reel height is valuable only in context.
Record all five reel heights, the prize over each reel, the selected bet and whether the next arrow can actually reach the Luck Zone.
How the persistent state works
Up-arrow events expand individual reels. A reel that reaches the Luck Zone awards the displayed credit, progressive or bonus result and then resets. Stored reel layouts can differ by bet level.
Why the state matters
A previous player can leave taller reels and shorter distances to the displayed awards. Taller groups can also increase the active ways-to-win while the feature is being pursued.
